So, as we arrive at the end of another year we are already knee deep into 2019 ‘thinking’. No sooner do we start to plan our time off at Christmas than The Composer is busy with the 2019 calendar of events and promotions at ‘Composers’. The first promotion is already up and running…….and that’s the problem!! We are running so fast that time seems almost irrelevant.
‘Tis the season to slow down’ is the motto for the end of the year as we enter the new. Not content with setting out our calendar for 2019, ‘Composers’ is busy preparing for the new season with the usual round of cleaning, replacing, repairing, replenishing and buying to make sure all our properties and grounds are in pristine condition for guests throughout 2019.
‘Composers’ is also about to launch itself on the European market thanks to an initiative called “Explorers Road”. It’s a unique guide aimed at the French and German market, introducing them to the UK along the length of the A1. This 410 mile road links London and Edinburgh and conveniently passes within a short distance of ‘Composers’, who are selected as one of 120 business to be included in the “Explorers Road”. This includes attractions, places of interest, accommodation and unique eating. With the attractive conversion rates of € to £ for guests coming into the country (not so good for us poor Brits buying ‘€’s) it is anticipated that there will be more visitors than ever coming from Europe.
The Composer is slowing down. Reflecting on a wonderful 2018 and wondering what 2019 will bring. Inevitably, we will welcome new and returning guests – each one equally valuable to the business and arriving at our door to begin or continue their adventure in Northumberland. Their choice of destination is more special than ever as the county has won the prestigious British Travel Awards No 1 Tourist Destination – Gold Award, making Northumberland THE place to visit in 2019.
So there we are – year end, and time to slow down ahead of the new year! Enjoy your Christmas and New Year wherever you may be.
The Composer, Mrs C and all at Composers at Woodlands wish you a very Merry Christmas and a holiday filled New Year!!
